The familiar lavender-orange blossom combination with a far thicker vanilla underneath: bourbon vanilla and vanilla caviar side by side. Rum gives it a warm, lightly boozy edge. The sweetest variant in this family, and the most enveloping.

How it develops

Lavender opens aromatic and fresh — the hallmark of this line, the note that gives it something faintly masculine — with orange blossom immediately setting a warm, white flower beside it. Then comes the vanilla, and here it is the lead: bourbon vanilla, creamy and sweet, next to vanilla caviar, thicker and darker, together fuller than in any other version. The rum in the base gives it a warm, boozy edge that stops it from becoming one sweet layer. From lavender to vanilla to a glass of dark rum.

Who it's for, and when

Winter evenings. For anyone who loves sweet vanilla and finds the regular version too fresh — that one is Y-20, lighter and better for daytime. Want warm and sweet but less thick, Y-50 is the step in between.

How to wear it

Two sprays on the neck, on moisturised skin. Don't rub. One spray on your clothing keeps the vanilla until the next morning.
