The same warm self-assurance as the classic version, but thicker and darker: a fruity opening, a rose-wood heart and a base of vanilla absolute and tonka bean. Two sprays carry a whole evening.

How it develops

Apple and davana open together: juicy and fruity, with the davana — a spicy, slightly boozy note — immediately adding a warm, liqueur-like edge. The heart is where it departs from the classic: Damask rose, full and velvety, alongside cedar for the dryness and osmanthus, a flower that smells of apricot and leather at once. The base is thick and long-lasting: vanilla absolute and tonka bean, sweet and creamy, with patchouli keeping it earthy and dark. Fruit, rose, then a warm, sweet glow.

Who it's for, and when

Winter evenings. For anyone who finds the classic version too light — that one is P-50, with cinnamon and leather, better for daytime. Too much in warm weather. Looking for the same confidence with ginger and bourbon vanilla, see A-220.

How to wear it

Two sprays, no more. On the neck, on moisturised skin, don't rub. In a small room one spray is enough — it fills a room.
