Pear and bergamot make the opening fresh and lightly juicy, rose and jasmine form an airy, almost soapy heart, and white musk rounds it off. Smells clean and modern — the perfume equivalent of freshly laundered linen.

How it develops

Pear, bergamot and pink pepper open fresh and juicy, with a light prickle keeping it away from sweetness. The heart is two flowers, and no more: rose and jasmine, airy, clean, more a scented candle in a bathroom than a bouquet in a vase. The base is where the clean impression comes from — white musk up front, with vanilla softening it, patchouli laying a little depth underneath and cedar for a dry finish. From fruit to flower to linen.

Who it's for, and when

Four seasons, daytime and the office. A safe choice if you don't want sweet fragrances. Looking for clean and floral but lighter still, with peony, see C-250. Want the same freshness with a sweet, meringue-like finish, J-160 is the sister.

How to wear it

Three sprays on neck and wrists, on moisturised skin — projection is moderate, so you can. Don't rub. One spray on your clothing keeps the musk until evening.
