Juicy pineapple and grapefruit in the opening, but without the sweetness you expect — there is dry patchouli and cedarwood directly underneath. Fresh and grown-up at once.

How it develops

Pineapple, grapefruit and bergamot open juicy and bright, but the pineapple here is green and sharp rather than sweet: more peel than juice, more fruit market than dessert. The heart is where the wood begins: cedar, dry and pencil-like, with patchouli laying an earthy floor underneath and jasmine softening it just slightly. The base is oakmoss and wood notes, grey, bitter and dry — a classic chypre finish that keeps the fruit from the opening upright to the end without sweetening it.

Who it's for, and when

Spring, summer and autumn, from the office to the evening. One of our most wearable niche fragrances. Love pineapple but want smoke and birch with it, see A-140. Looking for the same dry wood without the fruit, E-10 is the neighbour.

How to wear it

Two to three sprays on neck and wrists, on moisturised skin. Don't rub. One spray on a shirt keeps the wood until evening.
