A cool, herbal opening of mint and lemon with basil and thyme underneath. In the heart come blackcurrant, lavender, rosemary and jasmine. The base stays clean: musk with verbena. Fresh and recognisably Italian.

How it develops

Mint and lemon open cool and sharp — almost literally cooling — with basil and thyme laying a green, herbal, faintly bitter floor underneath: more a kitchen garden by the Mediterranean than a perfumery. The heart is aromatic and a touch fruity: blackcurrant for the juicy depth, lavender and rosemary for the herbs, jasmine making it briefly floral. The base keeps it clean and light: musk for the skin tone and verbena, citrusy and green, so the freshness of the opening still sounds through at the end.

Who it's for, and when

How to wear it

Citrus evaporates quickly, so be generous: three sprays on neck and wrists, on moisturised skin. Don't rub. On warm days it lasts longer on fabric than on skin.
