Cinnamon and pepper set the tone immediately, after which tobacco and leather deepen it. A winter jumper of a fragrance: warm, enveloping and present.

How it develops

The opening crackles: pink pepper, grapefruit and bergamot give a short, bright freshness, with elemi — a resinous note — immediately laying something smoky underneath. Then the heart, and that is where the name comes from: cinnamon, paprika and saffron, warm and spicy, as if you were opening a spice cupboard. The base of tobacco, leather and vetiver makes it dark and dry, and keeps the sweetness of the cinnamon in check.

Who it's for, and when

Autumn and winter, day and evening. Better left alone in summer — the cinnamon quickly becomes too much in warm weather. If you don't find it intense enough, V-110 is the heavier version. Looking for warmth with more sweetness and less spice, see P-50.

How to wear it

Two sprays on the neck, on moisturised skin. Don't rub. On a winter coat or scarf it lingers for days — one spray there is the best investment.
