A fresh opening with blackcurrant and bergamot that softens almost immediately through jasmine and vanilla. As an Extrait de Parfum the oil concentration is higher, so the vanilla is fuller and the fragrance lasts much longer.

How it develops

Blackcurrant, pink pepper and bergamot open juicy and a touch spicy, a few minutes of freshness before the flowers arrive. The heart is jasmine in three forms — ordinary jasmine, Arabian jasmine (sambac) and jasmine tea — full and white, but light and a little green thanks to the tea, never heavy. The base is where the Extrait makes the difference: bourbon vanilla, thick and creamy, with cashmeran and guaiac wood keeping it warm, woody and lightly smoky. From berry to jasmine to vanilla, and then hours on the same note.

Who it's for, and when

Four seasons, day and evening. The men's version, mineral and salty, is V-40. Love jasmine and vanilla but want coconut with it, in an Eau de Parfum, see T-90.

How to wear it

Two sprays is enough — with an Extrait you need less than you're used to. On the neck, on moisturised skin, don't rub. Three sprays is for a long evening; more is too much in company.
