Coffee and vanilla set the tone right away: sweet, but with a bitter edge that keeps it exciting. Turns softer and more powdery as the evening goes on.

How it develops

Pear, pink pepper and orange blossom open briefly, fruity and spicy. Then comes the coffee — roasted, bitter, unmistakable — with jasmine beside it and bitter almond and liquorice adding something dark and liquorice-like. The base is where it softens: vanilla and patchouli, with cashmere wood and cedar letting it fade out powdery and warm. Coffee and vanilla at once — that is the whole fragrance.

Who it's for, and when

An evening and winter fragrance, at its best in autumn and winter. Quickly too present at the office by day. Want sweet and dark but with honey instead of coffee, see J-60. Looking for something that can go all day, L-10 is the lighter sister.

How to wear it

Two sprays on the neck, on moisturised skin, and that's it. Don't rub. It carries far — in a small room, one spray is enough.
