A bright lemon opening with black tea running through it, that settles into amberwood. This Privé version comes in a 100ml bottle, double our standard size.

How it develops

Citron, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian orange open like a bowl of Italian citrus — sparkling, juicy, faintly bitter from the peel. The heart makes it warmer and spicier: Tunisian neroli for the flower, Nigerian ginger for the prickle, Ceylon cinnamon for a soft, sweet warmth. The base is where it differs from an ordinary citrus fragrance: Chinese black tea, dry and slightly smoky, with ambroxan for the reach, guaiac wood for the warmth and olibanum — church incense — for a resinous depth. Who it's for, and when

How to wear it

Two to three sprays on neck and wrists, on moisturised skin. Don't rub. One spray on a shirt keeps the tea until evening.
